Made a tour in the bodega of Gonzales Byass. Still a family owned bodega who is celebrating this year 175th anniversary.
The total stock for sherry and brandy is over 80.000 barrels is approx 42 million litres and sales are approx 5 million litre a year. Gonzales Byass owns the brand Tio Pepe.

Met an english couple during the tour in the bodega. They came form Manchester and his occupation is painter, mostly gold ornaments in churches.

In the meantime temperature is over 40 degrees. Good for old bones.

Jerez Impressions
- City who is trying hard to get more industry beside Sherry
- Probably the main projects in the last decades were building underground parkings
.A lot of bodega s gives the impression of a terrible wealth , in the past.
- Lots of brides and grooms in the street and parks for picture sessions. In Spain they don t wait marrying untill the kids are grown up.
- Beggars in restaurants and terasses. Asking for money and sigarettes
- Lottery sales men with hand visacards machines

Left Jerez late afternoon to travel via Cordoba, Granada to Valencia. Train system in Spain works well and some routes like Cordoba-Granada partly over old tracks are beautiful.

Arrived at Valencia North staion about 5.30 in the morning, For such a beautifull station you should want to live here.

First 5 days of planned trip of about 50 days were not too bad
