We had a tour booked today for 9:30am, we were running a little late but made it in time. It was a neighbourhoods tour, so we were to visit the different neigbourhoods of NYC, including chinatown, little italy, the upper east and upper west sides and harlam.
Some of it i was able to sleep though thank goodness as i had seen it. The tour was very imformative, the only downside was that we were the minority in the english speaking to the french so we did feel a little robbed on the information, but we got to see some nice things that we most likely wouldn't have normally seen. We went inside the cathedral church of st john the divine. we saw the neighbourhoods then ended up at the world trade centre site.
From there mary and ron wanted to see sex and the city 2, the movie, so we departed ways at 14th street, i got off to do soe shopping. Got some collars for cleo then jumped back on the subway to go up tp henri bendels to get another pair of earrings i saw. After that i still had time to fill in so i walked all the way down fifth avenue from central park to 42nd street then to the hotel where i repacked my suitcase for tomorrows early start.
Ron and mary came back to the hotel about 20minutes after i got there then mary and i decided to head down to soho again for more of a look around. we were there for about an hour and a half before we had to get back on the train and head for the skyline hotel where we had our pre-contiki tour meeting at 7pm. all we had to do was sign over some contact info and then left.
we met ron in the west village for dinner at the chelsea grill, probably the first proper meal we've really had time to have since we've been here.
after we headed back to the hotel and got ready to head out. by the time we left the hotel it was like 11:30pm but thats ok, it was our last night in new york city!
we went back to the west village but couldnt find anything there so made our way down to the meatpacking district. here we found a club that cost us $25 to get in and the music was rubbbbbbbish, i dont think you could even call it usic..horrible.
so we stayed there a lil bit then decided to find somewhere else.. we ventured to a club called 40/40. its owned by singer/rapper/fiance to beyonce knowles, jay-z.
there was no one in there bar but the security people were happy for us to go in anyway.
when we got inside the bargirl said they closed at 2 so we basically had to leave, slightly questioning in that case why secuirty bothered to let us in we left without a hassle. security outside asked us why we were leaving and we told them what was said, at this stage the manager was out there and said this was not true and that they were open til 4am and that because of the hassle we should go back in for some drinks on the house and a tour of this exclusive club. well, the4 club was amazing, we got to go through all the rooms, got to see all of jay-z's personal sporting memorabilia and got to take quite a few good pictures. when the manager was finished showing us around we came down the stairs only to be told our drinks 'the brooklyn special' were awaiting us. these drinks are usually like $22 each. score.
we stayed there a lil longer, mary and ron had another cocktail and then we left, walking a good 25 blocks back to the hotel. we got back there at just after 4am. mary and ron decided they wanted food, i wanted the 2hrs sleep that i was gonna get so i stayed at the hotel.
p.s sorry guys that im not using the key to do capital letters, the normal shift key i use wont work so i gave up. im sure ull get over it.

Wow, 2 hours sleep! That's hardcore MM! lol Well done you! Although obv yet to read what happened after the 2 hour's sleep to see what affect it had! ;o) Well done you on scoring the free cocktails! For $22 each they had better have been good ones, even if you didn't pay for them! x x
