AxesAxesAxes

Panha displays the axes we found left outside on the open balcony.
While I was promising to stay safe after our break in last Monday something occurred that is just beyond words, out of our control and something I have to record before I forget.

Muoy contracted some builders in to build an iron frame to make balcony access from the street impossible. This was highly appreciated from us but the constant reminders that it was costing her $300 were more than slightly painful. The work began on Wednesday. Thursday morning came and I walked into the empty bedroom to find the door inlocked and slightly ajar. This was because the builders had left it unlocked upon leaving on Wednesday evening. Rage built up in me at their carelessness but at least nothing had happened and we were again reminded to be more careful. On Thursday considerable progress had been made and so after dinner we opened the balcony doors to inspect the changes. We found that the builders had left a hammer and 2 axes lying on the still very accessible balcony. I don't have words to describe how this made us feel but horror, dismay, shock all come to mind. We were gobsmacked at their stupidity. It was like saying
What the?What the?What the?

Why why why?
to all wouldbe baddies, "Hey we locked the doors tonight but that's not really a problem cos we left an axe for you to use instead". Obviously we brought them inside and Panha spoke to the guys the next morning. They failed to see the problem, simply stating that they weren't finished using them. Aahhhh!
