Bangkok
Near our hotel in Bangkok Yesterday, we travelled by long boat, by rickshaw, public bus and did a fair amount of walking and landed at this quaint guest house called Apple's. But I'll get to that in a munite.
We took the long tail boat from one side of Bangkok to the other stopping to see Wat Po and the largest reclining Buddha in thailand. If I can post pictures, i will.... :-) Then we took the boat throught his really interesting place - no idea what it was called - but it was all houses along these canals. The differetnce betweent eh shacks along the water in some places and the large western houses was fascinting - but unexplained. :-)
Stopped for lunch (i'm already looking forward to pizza and a hamburger) and got on a bus and headed west to Kanchanaburi. There we were met by a hoard of rickshaw drivers who brought us to Apples. We passed the Allied cemetary along the way. I think we go there today.
A large group of us took off for a stroll through town and amused some monks by being totally lost in a non tourist area. We sampled some food at the
local market, counted the number of people that fit on a motor bike, and discovered where all the stray dogs in Asia congregate.
Dinner here at Apples and I was off to bed. :-) Still tired and suffering.....If you haven't gotten your flu shot - DO IT!!!
Going to try to post photos now before I have to run for breakfast.....

Stray Dogs
Hi Christine! Very cool travelogue. :) Feeling smug that I got my flu shot weeks ago. ;) Is Thailand mostly Buddhist? Stay healthy... and keep having fun.
