Well finally the time has arrived we are about to hit the road! Think that we have got most things organized and tied up but for sure there is a few things forgotten.

Tomorrow to start the trip off are are going to Colchester for the night and that is the town that Kylie's Dads great Granddad (I think) grew up so going to check that out for the day before returning here to London but only for a couple of hours before catching a bus to Cheltenham in the middle of the UK. I'll give a brief list of the places that we are going to here in the UK before heading over to Europe...
After Cheltenham for 1 night we go to Stow-on-the-Wald for 2 nights, Manchester 1 night, Peak District National Park 2 nights, back to Manchester 1 night, then to Llandudno in Wales 2 nights, Snowdonia Mountains 2 nights, Cardiff 2 nights, back in the UK at Bath for 2 nights, Bridport 1 night then back to London we think to catch our flight to Hamburg in Germany. Once there we have nothing really planned except we have 2 weeks to get down to Munich for OCTOBERFEST! Now that is going to be good fun I'm sure. A few of the lads at work went last year and reckon it is the best drunken, happy, no trouble, beer festival in the world and I'm hoping they are right but I'll just have to do it hard and find out myself I guess.

Yeah so 2 weeks in Germany then Austria, Switzerland, France, Italy then Greece and are planning 2 weeks in each of them places but that could change as the traveling goes. We are going to be doing a fair amount of hiking especially when we get to the Alsp which I am really looking forward to doing. Got a new tent as well, something that is going to be able to withstand the winds that we could encounter up there plus a few other bits a pieces we needed. The weather is still supposed to be good when we are there not that I take any notice of the seasons over here anymore (the London summer lasted about 3 weeks) so will see how it goes.

Since the last update we have done a fair bit around London and mostly tried to

Heading home after the show
fit everything in before we left. The other week we did a walking tour around London which I thought was only going to be for a hour or two but ended up taking about 8 hours and it just happened to be the hottest day in London for the year! And of course I had a heavy night the night before at the dogs for a work do and really sweated it out that day. It was a really good tour taken by a couple of younger chaps one English and one Australian and they really knew there stuff about the place. It was very humerous as well with the Eniglish guy bagging out the Goverment and most of the bulidings along the way and how poorly they were all built. The Aussie guy just mostly stirred the English lad up and anything else he could really but was a good day out.

If anyone is planning on going to the British Museum while over here, don't try and do what we did and try and squeeze it all in one day. Not a chance at all in doing that. It is absolutely massive that place and we only

scratched the surface in 4 hours and got sick of everything by then also after so long I was looking at something then completely forgetting it two stops down. We meet up with Peter Sattler for brekki as well and it was nice to see someone from home again and he came along to the museum with us as well which was good. He had just been touring around Europe for three weeks with Anna and had a great time. Made us even more exited about out trip coming up!

We went and watched the Lion King which was fantastic, even sang along a few times to the embarrassment of Kylie since I watched the movie about 100 times. The costumes in the show were the best thing by far and a lot of time must have gone into making those. The way they made the animal costumes and how they made them walk around the stage was great, I have really got a thing for theatre shows now. When getting our tickets Kylie went early in the morning of the same day, it was a Tuesday, and doing that we got our tickets about half price I think

Tottenham Hotspurs v Everton The Stadium with 36,000 crazy fans
in the end and we were sitting only 7 rows from the very front so stoked about that and the place was still packed as well.

During this week I went with one of my work mates to a game of Soccer, Football over here of course.. It was Tottenham v Everton and it was Tottenham's first home game of the season so the stadium was absolutely chocker's. Was very very lucky to get a ticket since it has been sold out for a few months and I got the ticket last week from a friend of a friend who was in the States for a holiday so ended up with a season pass thing that got me a seat right on the wing ten rows back! I don't know how but wasn't complaining. The guy 'Stu' who I went with is a fanatic Tottenham supporter so went to his local pub to meet up with his mates before the game and that's an experience. Drinking a fast as we all possibly could, don't know why they do they just do, we headed to the game with five minutes to spare and just got to see the kick off.

The crowd was the best thing during the game with all the singing and chants they have and of course all the abuse they yell at each other and as the game went on Tottenham weren't going to well so turned and started yelling abuse at there players. All good fun though and when Tottenham scored a goal I thought a bomb had went off! The place just went nuts! Absolutely crazy they are and can see why they do, with a heap of beers before the game, yelling abuse at the opposition supporters and only a couple of goals a game a lot of tension to let out. And since Tottenham only scored one goal for the entire game and Everton three they ended up letting the tension out on the opposition supporters in the street. Geeez it was on like donkey kong after the game then a heap of police on horses plowed though the crowd and sorted them out! So of course it was back to the pub to drown the sorrows and I think they did that pretty well. Well I can remember a couple of guys been sick at the bar and a few other

things and that's about all. Actually if your reading this Tommo I meet a guy who knows your Dad back from the Falkland Islands! He remembered you guys going over there and everything, small world hey. So over all had a fantastic time that night and the worst at work the next day.

This our last weekend has been all about saying good byes and have the odd party or two. Friday night was both our work ones amd pretty sure we both had a good time. It was a bloody big night anyway and from all reports, it was good fun. Yesterday I went for round of golf with a couple of guys from work when we all dragged our aching heads out of bed. The course we went and played on was very nice and it is the second time I've been there. The first time the sun was shining but yesterday was bloody miserable! We took a few travelers around with us to make it a better day of course. Last night was spent with a few of Kylie's friends but we were all near dead so didn't do a great lot so headed to our local kebab place one last time and went home.

Now we have no work and home for the next 3 1/2 months but really looking forward to it. I was lucky with work actually, they are a top bunch of guys and will be seeing them again I'm sure soon.

So that's all from London now and until the next update, will be doing it more often now, take care everyone.
