I never imagined I'd do this in Wellington...

On Saturday night I did something I'd never done before. I never expected in my wildest dreams to be doing it. But I did. I changed a nappy. Amazing I know. Friends from high school days will be surprised to learn that I babysat a seven-month old baby for almost six hours and I liked it! 😊 She was so cute. She screamed and wailed as the dog barked at the loud anging of Guy Fawkes fireworks. She freaked out when I zipped up her little sleeping bag and she could no longer see her feet. It was adorable. Note well, this does not mean I want children right now. Sorry dad, no grandchildren from me yet!

I went to my favourite Mexican restaurant for the Day of the Dead with Briar and Sue. Their altar was very lovely.

I got beeped by a guy in a ute. It's amazing what a little objectification can do for your self esteem.

What else have I been up to? Reading a lot of articles mainly. Also reading more Jane Austen. Cooking. Going out for coffee. Working (well I will be this afternoon). Not much really. Nothing super interesting, that is. It's the jazz festival here, so I may go see a band or two. I'm really not sure. I will write again when I have something more interesting to write.

Are you sure that you weren't just in the way when you got beeped?
