Hi! I'm planning for an overland trip, from Malaysia all the way to South Africa without flying. Has anyone done this before? and How? Route? Money? Visa?
Hi everyone.. I'm from Malaysia and i'm planning to start travelling north through Thailand-Laos-Cambodia-Vietnam-China-Trans Siberia through Mongolia and Russia-all around Europe-ferry to Morocco-all around African Continent-Middle East and the Holy Land-Silk Road back to Asia-Pakistan-India-Nepal-Tibet-China-And head south back home.
I'm starting soon. Some researches had been done. Any suggestions anyone on anything like accomodations and costs, mode of transports, seasons for routes, anything at all anyone... any suggestions that could help me on my journey would be appreciated. Has anyone done this before? I'm sure there is, so please please help?!?. Or is anyone interested in joining or meeting at some point?... I'm solo.
Thanks
Eric
Reply to this Hey Eric, yes - there are lots of people doing this type of thing - not Malaysia to South Africa - mostly Europe to Singapore or even Australia.
I like the sound of your trip - when are you planning to start?
Reply to this Hey ali... started!... already in vietnam now.. Gonna spend sometime in indochina. I think the round trip would take me about 5 years. i wish i have time to blog. You have any ideas or suggestions?...
Reply to this Hello Eric 😊
How did your overland trip go? Which reoute did you take? Pity you didnt have time to blog, but maybe you have a few minutes to reassure us all that extensive overland travel is indeed possible. Now, TravelBlog has a special forum called 'Overland and Sea' for those wanting to talk about overland travel.
