I´m a 32 woman travelling on her own for 24 days on Feb. But i´m uncertain where to go to. Any of the countries listed sounds nice to me since is summer time there. But I would love anyone there 2 give me their point of view.
Reply to this Hello Ana, and welcome to the Forum!
The weather in all of the countries you have listed will be good at that time of year. To give me and others are better idea of what you want, is it sights, history, culture or people that attract you to a country?
Reply to this Dear Ana,
For 24 days, it will not be enough for you to cover all these destinations, so my advice is either you choose to discovery Vietnam and Cambodia or Australia and/or New zealand.
I dont know much a bout Oz and NZL, but for Vietnam and Cambodia, there are many historical sites, beaches and more importantly they are much different from where you are from, which makes the trip more interesting. These countries are safe destination in general.
Reply to this Thank you both Shane and Francis,
Merry Xmas to you in the first place :D
I´d like a trip with both cultural interest, beaches, and with a different culture and point of view.
Been in Thailand 6 years ago on my own, as well, but i´m doubting if I should go back ( since i felt very safe) or try something new.
I have travelled on my own to some countries in Europe and South America-Caribbean. But now it´s getting very unsafe there.
So I wanna treck, scuba dive, visit historical sites, go to the beach, and roam about getting 2 know more people and new culture basicaly. Well i think i could be asking 4 too much, but if u can advise me about a place like this, u tell me.
Thanks a lot for the interest. 😊
Reply to this Hey!
Im from New Zealand and am in Vietnam now having at the end of 8weeks travelling through Cambodia and Vietnam. Heres my advice- hope it helps!
New Zealand needs 3weeks minimum to travel around, and soak up the sights, but keep in mind that you may take a while at the beginning of your travels to get over jet lag. NZ is very safe to travel alone, and February is the hottest month, but remember that a lot of NZ is best seen in the snow, so Im not certain that Summer is the best time to see it.
Australia will take minimum 3 weeks also, and same again for the jet lag. Oz too is fine to travel as a lone female. I always say, though, that Oz doesnt have the culture thing going on that other countries too, and personally Id put it at the bottom of your list (and dont get me wrong, I love Australia, and have even lived there)- it just doesnt have as much of a culture as the other places.
As for Cambodia and Vietnam- you could spend 24 days seeing both these countries, and as long as you have your whits about you, there are fine to travel as a lone female. They are very much set up for the traveller, so getting around is easy. I personally have found Vietnam has a lot of scamming, but if your street smart there wont be a problem, and as Cambodia is very peaceful, they are quite nice to do together.
Once you have decided which country you will opt for, Id love to help you with your plans, having soent a lot of time in eahc of those places.
Enjoy the planning!
