Only seats available in August 2011 seem to be business class. Why is this?
Hi all, I'm hoping someone can help me with this! Me and a friend are planning a trip to South America in August 2011. We're flying into Lima, then to Rio. TACA have a non-stop overnight service between the two cities which looks great, but when I go on their website, the only fare available is Business class. So I have three theories as to why this is - can someone who is familiar with this service tell me which one is right??
1. This service is business class only - if this is the case I'll go ahead and book now
2. The economy fares sell out 9 months in advance (surely not??)
3. TACA only releases the economy fares closer to the time (but they have economy fares available in August for Lima-Cusco, for example)
Many thanks in advance!

We have a flight booked with Taca from Lima to Rio in December, and it is economy class. Bizarrely when we first booked our tickets through STA travel around February our printed itinerary read 'first class'. We questioned this with the agent and were told that our seats were economy so we didn't know why it said this on the itinerary. We received an updated itinerary closer to our travelling and it now reads 'economy' for the same flight.
This probably won't be any help at all as it was confusing to us too and we aren't providing any answers other than that economy class does exist (whether or not this is the same as first class we don't know though!) But the flights are expensive on this route anyway as I think LAN and Taca have the monopoly.
