HI Just wondering if anyone could give me an idea of what I have to be aware of when I drive my camper from Bristol UK to Accra in Ghana
Anywhere I should avoid or not miss? I would like to go at the end of November Reply to this

Great stuff it will be a terrific experience. We drove from Portugal to Ghana traveling through Morocco, Western Sahara, Mauritania, Senegal, Mali, Burkina Faso and then into Ghana.
I would strongly encourage you to learn a few phrases in French as there is not much English spoken until you reach Accra. The border crossing between Mauritania and Senegal is challenging known as the Rosso crossing.
Good luck with your route. Reply to this

Will I have to cross the desert going off road or can I go on the road all the way? Reply to this

No there are roads all the way even across the desert in Mauritania. The roads in some places are very rough but they are technically roads we did not need to use our 4X4 on the roads. Worst are the potholes Reply to this
