Need a low cost alternative to expensive cruise ships to Europe but still a passenger ship.
I am looking for a cheaper alternative to a cruise ship that will take me to Ireland or England. A notch above a freighter which I heard is ok but puts freight first. I really just don't want to fly anymore. Time is not an issue.
Reply to this William,
I'm afraid I don't have any info to share with you about this but was wondering if you had found any information since you posted this note that you could share with the rest of us?
Reply to this Sorry to say that I haven't gotten to it. Right now I am busy exploring Southwest Texas, and then will be taking a meandering path to San Diego via New Mexico and Arizona. Then up the Califonia coast on Hwy 1. Then more in the US before going to Europe in the Summer. So it will be a while before I start doing homework on ship travel to Europe. I am today enroute to Big Bend National Park and enjoying the Springlike weather we are having. I live on an annuity so time is not an issue to me as I don't have to "get back" to anywhere.
Reply to this William,
Sounds like you are having a great time and meandering through Texas and that is the best way to do it. If you have the time stop by the town of Langtry Texas. It is a cute town full of history.
Please keep blogging. I will be following your path.
Happy Traveling, MJ
