What if you reach there and are not able to book a tour? All the fun of a vacation is lost. So it is always better to pre-plan your vacation before moving to a new place since it will save you from a lot of hassles. Reply to this

How long do you plan to go around Turkey? Have you pre-booked your hotel in Istanbul? It can be really cold if you are going in December, and with very young children at that. Be sure to have them wrapped real good while there.

I would suggest you at least pre-book your hotel arrangements in Istanbul. While there, it should be easy to cover the must-see places as public transport is quite efficient. You may want to choose a hotel near the Sultanahmet area so you can easily walk to some touristy sites. Istanbul may need at least 3 days. Enjoy the sites, enjoy the food.

I found some travel agents(they are all over the Sultanahmet area) in Istanbul where you can book tours to Cappadocia, Pamukkale or even Ankara. Frankly, the first 2 are better, more interesting destinations than the capital , Ankara. Reply to this

To conveniently visit various places with your family in Istanbul you may think of hiring a car there. There are a number of car hire companies. For your ease you may refer . It is a good and affordable car hire service provider in Turkey. You may check out its offers and book a car online if it suits your budget.

Staying in Blue Mosque area is better and convenient to all cultural sights. you need to spend some time in Taksim Area. Taste the restaurants in Tunnel area. Very cosmopolitic cafees.

Very nice pedestarian road full of local shops restaurants. There is one very nice and least popular museum I would recommend. Chora Museum. It is full of mosaics and spirit. I would recommend eating the crowded places since good chief has many customers as usual.

<snip>Also baselica cistern museum. very interesting to see. www.yerebatan.com
