We are beginning to plan a vacation trip to Oman. About 8-10 days during New Year's vacations. We need some advice.
Warning! we have lots of questions!!!
We have read that the north of the country holds the main sites but it is also very nice to visit Salalah. Is it worth going so far south? and is it safe? (because of Yemen's war)
We plant to rent a car. How long would it take to go from Nizwa to Salalah by car?
On the other side, we've seen that there's an airport at Salalah. Is it better to fly and miss the scenery between Nizwa and Salalah? or there are no scenic views, only monotonous landscape?
Any information will be very appreciated!
