Please help. I need to find some cheap accom in Melbourne in March when the GP is on (26-29th).
I don't need to be in the centre, nor in a hostel(i'm 39) or an expensive hotel, but somewhere in the suburbs(30mins) with good public transport links to the centre would be preferable.

Are there B&B's in the outlaying areas of Melbourne, and which areas are worth avoiding? So far i've found an IBIS Hotel for around £52GBP a night for that weekend in Glen Waverley which i'll quite happily stay in, unless any recommendations are forthcoming.
