Thailand (2007 and 2009) - Bangkok and Phuket in 2007. Bangkok, Krabi and Phuket in 2009.
Scotland (2010) - Edinburgh and Isle of Skye.
Namibia (2000 and 2011) - Hobas & Ai-Ais on both occasions hiking the Fish River Canyon.
New Zealand (2011) - Auckland, Rotorua & Wellington (with a few smaller towns) on the North Island.
United Arab Emirates (2011) - Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Future Plans:

Peru - Cuzco.
Argentina - Buenos Aires.
New Zealand - North & Sourth Island along with Stewart Island.

Arrival in Rotorua

Monday October 10th 2011, the day my World Cup trip begun, proved a hectic day. A total runaround, mad dash of a day it was. I had so much to get done at work, while at the same time I was calling the Bank and Credit Card company to notify them on me being out the country. Purchasing foreign exchange, and picking up the odd last minute item. After finishing up at work (managing to get all work complete!), I headed to the airport at around 3:40pm. I had done my check-in online already so I needed to be Cape Town International near 4pm. My flight, on Emirates, was to depart at 6:10pm. last night in Tokaroa... Icy up here! getting the bus to AKL CBD in the morning and then to check in at accomodation before heading out to semi final 1! Yeeehaaaa! Countdown RWC 2011 - 48 hours to take off

Well, just on 48 hours to go until I set off to New Zealand for the RWC 2011 Semi Finals! It has rushed up and I must still pack tomorrow after the All Blacks - Argentina Quarterfinal. I hope I don't get sick on arrival due to the weather differences between Cape Town and NZL. Being such a short trip (10 days), each day should be utilized to the full. So, it's confirmed that I will watch Wales - France in Semi Final 1...Hmm, not the most appealing to me, but I will go for Wales. So, this is my initial TravelBlog entry, and it's purpose is simply a trial. Monday night on October 10th 2011 I will be boarding an Emirates flight to Auckland from Cape Town via Dubai and Brisbane. Its a monstrous trip. Almost 34 hours. I am travelling solo and upon arrival at Auckalnd International I will be boarding an Air NZ flight down to Rotorua. I will be staying with family in Tokoroa for 3 nights, where I hope to get to experience Rotorua and its surrounds. I had hoped to head down to hike the Tongariro Crossing but it may not be an option - weather depending. I may opt for hitting the mountains around Roturua instead.
