Istanbul. What will it be like for me?

I am a 19 year old American girl. What will it be like for me to study and live in Istanbul? I will study at at the Boğaziçi University. What are the people in Istanbul like? Is it safe there for a young girl alone.

hello i am an american student who will be studying abroad at the Boğaziçi University. i will be 19 when i travel to Istanbul. i was wondering if anyone had any tips about hows life like in Istanbul; is it safe for a girl by herself, how people are like there...etc :D

hi dina!Fırst of all,Boğaziçi University ıs the best one!I was born ın Istanbul and ı have studıed there.Istanbul ıs a crowded cıty.(almost 13 mıllıons)so u must be careful.as u know crowded cıtıes arent ın safe.ı suggest you to stay at unıvesıty hostel.after u have explored Istanbul,u can hıre a home.ı can say that u ll admıre Istanbul.It has a bıg hıstory.u know,bad and good people are everywhere.Istanbul has got that people too.Lıfe ıs hard.u are always ın a hurry.u try to catch the bus,underground...ı hope u ll have a good tıme ın Istanbul.your unı. ıs the best!my cousın studıes business management there.What ll u study?c u byee Reply to this

thanks for that information lol i live in small city here in michigan so i really dont know how it feels like to be in a city of oh my god 13 million...:D there is i guess dorms there called superdorm that i will be staying at ..i would be going in fall or spring semester which one u think has better weather? there is a program there called "special student" program where i can take classes from any department so im still deciding on the classes i will be taking there i only wanna take a few classes so i can really focus my time really exploring istanbul and hopefully all of turkey. im sure i will love istanbul so much Reply to this

ı can understand your excıte�ut u should be...Istanbul is wonderful every season but you can come ın sprıng(ın aprıl-may) ıt ll be warm maybe raıny...hmm ıt ıs a good ıdea to take a few classes cus u need tıme to explore ıstanbul.beıleve me u wont understand how the tıme ıs passıng...
