Try Puerto Miguel. It's a fishing village on the Ucayali River, 260 km South of Iquitos in the Amazon jungle.
I went there with a friend and our guide, Gerson, knows the jungle in and out. He is from there. He charges little (S/. 100 per day, everything included) and unlike going to the agencies run by non-jungle natives (who are known to exploit the locals) you'll be supporting the local people.
He took us on a 7 day jungle trip (seeing a lot of wild plant and animal life, camping), and two of those nights were spent in the village. It is very quiet and peaceful, and secluded. The locals are lovely simple folk and if you speak a little Spanish I'm sure you could make great friends.
Contact Gerson at amazonguidanceservices@gmail.com if you want to give it a go. He'll pick you up in Iquitos and take you to the village ("base camp") - it's all included in his price.
He speaks excellent English and is overall a genuine honest and humble person.

Reply to this Thank you Jules,
I wasn't planning on going to Iquitos, I was more thinking of the Pacific Ocean.
You info is cool, but I don't think I have the time to make it to Puerto Miguel.
If I do, I will contact Gerson.
