Hola Gringo´s right lets get you all up to speed!! Ok so first things first, i´ve stuck a couple of pic´s of nazca lines and us sleeping in the desert that the naff pc wouldn´t let me post last time! So next stop on the tour was Puerto Inca, this is where the Incan kings used to go on their holidays! We camped on the beach and chilled out.....we were challenged to a game of footy by the Peruvian locals! It was hard going as we were playing on a dusty pitch, i spent quite a while in goal and got many a face full of sand and dust! After one day of rest from climbing El Misti, i set about climbing chachani, which is a 6080 meter (thats 19,800 feet) peak with three other people and a guide. three additional participants got severe altitude sickness at the base camp (5400 meters) and had to go back down before the summit attempt. this was the highest elevation i´ve ever attained and it was some pretty slow going with some pretty thin air up there. several parts of the top required crampons and ice axe for stability for rather lengthy sections and on the return trip one of my crampons came off my foot, having shaken loose one of the two screws that held them together. lucky for me it happened within a couple hundred feet of the end of the glacier so i make it ... read more

They don´t seem to actually stock or make anything in this restaurant. They have to run to the shop across the road for our drinks and when the pizza arrives it has a soggy base and an eyelash on it. Nice!!! Needless to say we don´t eat much. Also its the most expensive pizza as well but Kate wants to leave a tip as they are so friendly in the restaurant! The pisco sour is actually pretty good. We order a ... read more

S 15º 50.318 / W 074º 18.707 Some people, places and things can not be properly described - a photo seems to be a lacking solution to properly reflect the true nature... Puerto Inca is such a place. The Inca, a direct decendant of the Sun - would be carried by from Cusco to Puerto Inca, some 400KM away for him to enjoy the beach, sit at his gold plated seat, and discuss whatever it is god´s discuss amongst themselves. With a complete sense of isolation from the world outside, this Inca city, built in 1300 AD for the purpose of gathering, preparing, storing and transporting seafood, cotton, peppers and other staples to the remainder of the Inca´s empire - if the Inca wanted fresh seafood, his chasqui´s would run relays from Puerto Inca to Cusco ... read more
