Salkantay or Inca

Hi,

I'm looking at doing either the Inca Trail or Salkantay to Machu Picchu but unsure as to which to choose? I am 23 and therefore would like to do it with similar age people and I've heard that because Salkantay is cheaper and you don't need a permit (meaning you don't need to book in advance and more likely to get younger, less organised people :-P) then this is a good idea.

But, I am in time to book the Inca and don't want to miss out if it really is unbeatable.

Any thoughts/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Sam...I would choose the Salcantay Trek becaus there less people, the nature is really beautyfull. The Inca Trail meanwhile is such a comercial thing. It´s nice but not more. Reply to this
