A question regarding the ease of travel and time to get to an airport from Ayabaca, north PEru
Hi
I will be in Peru during May 2011 doing the mototaxi junket.
The end of the race is Ayabaca in northern Peru, which I aim to arrive at on the 21st May 2011.
I will have to return home (London) from there.
I believe we have two options, and as time will be very tight (we have to make our return flight), I want to know the pros and cons between the two, and if one option is more realistic than the other
Option 1:
Take a taxi/bus from Ayabaca to Piura Airport
Fly from Piura to Lima (domestic flight)
Fly from Lima home (intl flight)
Option 2:
Take a taxi/bus from Ayabaca to La tina/Macara (border town)
Take taxi/bus to Loja Airport
Fly from Loja Airport to Guyaquil (domestic flight)
Fly from Guyaquil home (intl flight)
How long will these take (I assume the fact that there is a border crossing in one option will not help)
How much should I budget to getting to Lima or Guyaquil respectively
Thanks
Avi
