Nature is just beautiful and while travelling we are privileged to visit so many great places and to encounter so many amazing wildlife. The past few days we have spent at again one of the most remote places in Colombia, a Pacific Ocean beach with almost no tourists, an old fishing village called La Barra. La Barra is close to a bay where humpback whales give birth and where we have witnessed the adult whales teaching their young the basics of life like breathing, breaching and waving their fins to tourists. Uusia rantoja kohden Valle Cocoran kylmyyttä pakoon lähdimme kohden Calia jonka piti olla huomattavasti lämpimämpi ja vähemmän sateinen. Yritimme vielä aamulla käydä nappaamassa viimeiset näköalakuvat Salenton kylästä mutta tiivis pilvi ja sumu peittivät laakson jo heti aamusta. Calia lähestyttäessä tie kulki valtavien sokeriruokoviljelmien läpi. Alueella viljellään yleisesti kahvia mutta myös tämä valtavan korkeaksi kasvava ruoko oli yleistä ja plantaasit suuria. Lämpötila siis kohosi huomattavasti ylänköjen viileydestä. Calin kaupunkiin emme kuitenkaan halunneet heti majoittua. Edessä oli vielä 2 yötä ennen kuin auto oli tarkoitus palauttaa lauantaina ja yritimme etsiä jotain rauhallisempaa majoitusaluetta kuin jälleen yksi suurkaupunki. Parque National Gorgona 02.07. - 06.07.2010 Am Nachmittag des 02. Juli machten wir uns auf den Weg zum Tauchcenter Gangrejo, wo wir unser Equipment in Empfang nahmen, dieses bezahlten und dann noch Batterien fuer die Taucherlampen kaufen mussten.... was ich in Anbetracht des nicht gerade tiefen Preises der Tauchsafari nicht ganz korrekt fand - wenigstens die Batterien haetten im Preis enthalten sein koennen. Etwa eine Stunde spaeter ging es los im Bus in Richtung Buenaventura. Stunden spaeter dort angekommen, ging es auf die Seawolf und wir bezogen eine winzige Kabine. Nach dem wir unseren Plunder verstaut hatten, gab es einige Instruktionen, die Crew stellte sich vor und dann gab es Nachtessen. Noch waehrend dem Essen stachen wir in See.
