ca va mieux. en faite j aimerais tellement voir un jaguar que j ai oublie d apprecier la beaute des lieux dans lesquels j etais et de profiter pleinement du moment present (carpe diem). ce qui m a egalement remonter le moral c est dans le bus et a la gare tout les gens que j ai rencontre ete vraiment gentil il partage leur eau ou leur chips m ont offert un chewing gum etc. depuis que je suis partie de campo grande je n ai plus rencontre un seul touriste car tous se rendent sur la cote. j apprends gentiment un peu le portugais. dans le pantanal j ai aussi rencontre le dernier soir des gens super sympa qui m ont appris quelques pas de danse et on s est bien amuse. je pars demain ... read more

Howdy all Right off the top I have to make it clear, I saw pink dolphins BEFORE we ate that traditional Amazonian Indian food. We have been in Porto Velho for a few days now. Taking care of some business here. We met with a prospector who had a property we were interested in. We arranged for a couple of our guys to go in and sample the showing. Its 18 km into the jungle. Access is by trail but it will take a couple of days to get in and then get back again. Rumour has it there are a lot of jaguars in the region. The guys wanted a rifle but Bragga, our guy doing the organizing, wouldn't get them one. So they agreed, one would keep watch while the other slept. I'll be ... read more

Yessssssssssss! We finally managed to leave Rurrenabaque. It was a bit touch and go during the morning (excuse the aviation pun for those in the know) but by the time our flight arrived it was sunny and the skies were blue. Amaszonas had been fantastic with confirming our onward flight the following morning but we had to spend another night in Trinidad because the connections don’t quite work out. Guayamarin is a border town with no land border. At the airport a rickshaw took us to Bolivian immigration where we were stamped out of the country. The currency exchange desks at the port were offering an abysmal rate for our Bolivianos so we gave them a miss, gambling on either exchange or ATMs being available on the other side.
