Finished my two weeks on the cardinal project and now I find myself in Mar Del Plata, vacation hot spot for people who live in Buenos Aires. Talk about extremes! From camp, population 6 to Mar del Plata, population 542,000. Probably more like 600,000 since it is the peak season, where the streets are swarming with Argentine tourists. I still can´t mesh. Vendors pick me out easily as someone who is ¨Not from around here¨ probably due to my height, among other things. I stand a head taller than most people, especially the women. So they think I´m European, since that´s where most foreiners are from. Luciano made a point that Argentina takes after Europe, where Chile takes after the United States. Interesting separation.
