Chewy Udon ...
... as far as udon goes, this was top notch - the only problem is that we are more ramen fans, so udon or soba will just never be able to compare. The restaurant served up a truly fine selection of tempura vegetables - zucchini that had been thinly sliced and fanned out before frying, squash, and what I think may have been maitake mushroom. The shrimp was excellent, with a meaty texture and flavour more like a lobster. The batter was crisp, and without any excess grease - masterfully fried.
