Time to Kill at Jomo-Kogen Station ...

... before our shuttle bus departed for Takaragawa Onsen, so we grabbed a quick lunch at a nearby soba restaurant. Not usually a big fan of this cold-style noodle, we did enjoy the chewy texture of the soba. The tempura was quite decent, and the highlight of this combo. Interestingly, the waitress later brought us some of the water used to cook the soba, and told us that traditionally, it is mixed with the remaining udon dipping sauce and drank like a soup. The waitress was super cute, as she seemed overly amused with us being Asians who are native speakers of English, even asking us if we could use chopsticks, or if we needed forks!
