Gold Chest Plate

Among the many decorative chest plates in the museum, this was one of my favorites. It shows a face wearing a nose ring with some of the stylized characteristics of the jaguar, but the jaguar is smiling. I saw other chest plates with faces on them, but the none that had smiles.
