Tourism is Alive and Well on the Getreidegasse

My tour of Salzburg consisted pretty much of strolling down just one street: the pedestrian only shopping street of Getreidegasse. Knowing all the other shops all over Salzburg would be closed for Sunday the most touristy part of town seemed the most likely to entertain our Euros. I realized I outsmarted myself in picking a quiet Sunday to hit the big city when I spotted the Henckel knife store and its "closed" sign in the window. I had forgotten that I needed to replace some of our not-so-sharp kitchen knives with quality German cutlery. And the next day was not an option either since it was part of the Mardi Gras holiday. Add one more thing to the Next Trip files.

It was another night of hacking and wheezing on my part. I'm fine all day but as soon as I lay down I start coughing. It must be the down or feathers in the comforters.
