I have been learning more Swahili each day, and the locals seem to understand what I am saying - on the whole! I am travelling to Africa this summer, to undertake a four-week community project, attend the 13th World Scout Moot and climb Mount Kilimanjaro. I am participating on the community project through a gap-year company called Frontier and will be volunteering in a hospital in the coastal city of Mombasa. I'm sure I will learn a lot from the experience. The World Scout Moot is the first event of its kind to be held in Africa, and I am a Guide in the UK Scout Contingent attending the event.
