Manitou Station

Manitou Station. Lower station of the Manitou & Pikes Peak Cog Railway. The station was built in 1889 and expanded since. 515 Ruxton Avenue. "The picturesque depot at the base was built by the Gillis Brothers. One of the early engines is now in Manitou Springs Memorial Park". Manitou Springs Historic District. Driving from Cheyenne to Colorado Springs on I-25 took about three and a half hours. We stayed in Colorado Springs on Sunday night.
