Ahoy there mateys, Its been a while since I wrote and that's mainly because I've been a bit down in the dumps. I've had a lot of 'at sea' days and the weather hasn't been great but anyway... So my day in Christchurch was fairly uneventful - I had a wander around the department store and across catherdral square. Sadly it was cold and raining so not really the day for sight seeing. Christchurch is known for its design as a typical English town... hence the catherdral, they also have a little river, called the Avon - where they have punts and row-boats. Actually it was very much like an English town in the rain - i.e. everyone is miserable and there's nothing to do. Although aesthetically everything was in place... there was something missing... age. ... read more

Tasman Sea, New Zealand/Australia - December 30th - 6:39pm Well today has been an interesting day thus far. I tossed and turned all night because I slept so much yesterday. Still not feeling great but I am feeling a bit better. I got up at 9am to prepare for my interview. Lee and I wrote down a few notes and key words for me to say during the interview. I was going to watch the Secret for a bit but I don’t know what happened to it, I think Lee stole it from me. I got dressed and went up to the office early to print out my resume. I was being interviewed by Luc and Jim (Training and Development officer). The interview was a little bit of a joke since Luc knows the situation with ... read more

Tasman Sea, New Zealand/Australia - December 29th - 9:00pm Well today I did absolutely nothing except sit in bed and sleep. I woke up with a sore throat and a massive headache, that didn’t go away all day. It’s very rocky outside and the combination of sea sick and a flu don’t really mix. I haven’t gotten out of bed much, trying not to move a heck of a lot so I decrease the nausea feeling. Lee has the entire day off so he has the joys of trying to make me feel better! I hate being sick. I did manage to get myself up and dressed to go to the show at 7pm. Leo Ward a comedian and magician. He did a lot more comedy then magic but regardless he was funny. He started out ... read more

Sea Day, Tasman Sea - December 13th - 12:33am Not too much to report today. Lee got up to go to work; I rolled over to read my book and haven’t moved since! Lol Lee just called me to inform me that he was an hour late for work due to the time change last night that he seemed to ignore. He gets a good comment one day and a bad comment for being late the next. He claims that he choose to take his break first though. We ordered some room service to eat while watching a movie. 11:00pm I haven’t done much more today. I also set up my computer. It’s always nice to know people on the ship that help you out…Internet anyone? I did manage to get up to the gym again, ... read more

Sea Day, Tasman Sea - December 14th - 12:11am Well today didn’t start out much different from yesterday. Read a bit, waited for Lee to finish work so we could grab some food upstairs. We grabbed some grub and came back to relax. We watched some Amazing Race and took a nap. Lee was still sleeping but I figured I’d get up to the gym since I wouldn’t be able to get there for the next 2 days. Lee decided to tell me what my surprise excursion was. We are going on the overnight tour ‘Explore Overnight Milford Sound to Dunedin’. We drove to the inland of New Zealand’s sound island, over night in Queenstown, see a sheep dog in action and sheep shearing demonstration, the next day heading back to Dunedin. I’m very excited to ... read more

Across the street from the hotel is a McDonald's and most of them in Sydney have free WiFi. So we managed to conveniently connect to their network and used it to bring our blog up to date. Thank you McDonald's. We checked out at noon and then hopped on the train to Circular Quay where we found the impressive Celebrity Millennium cruise ship waiting for us in Sydney Harbour. We turned our bags over to Celebrity, checked in, went through customs, boarded the ship and were in our cabin (#9173) enjoying a complimentary glass of champagne by 2pm. This will be our home for the next 9 days and a comfy room it is. We disembarked to go enjoy our last few remaining hours in Sydney. At the time we purchased our Bridge Climb tickets we ... read more

What a trip its been... Yesterday- great fun at the Gondola ride up a mountain then down on luge, a simple plastic cart with wheels that let us zip our way down at the speed we chose, whipping our way down the cement road, racing or just enj;oying the trip. FANTASTIC, Hayden and I did it twice. Then hayden did this cool extremem free fall, where she wore this parachute type close and leeped into the strong propelling air jet and let her feel like she was falling out of the sky, and the two guys would spin her and she was having a great time. Then she went on a jet speed boat ride with Cortney and that was a blast too. That adventure was across the Agridome. cool stuff. We also experienced the Hobbiton, ... read more
