After a long day of corrugated roads and food stocking up in Broome we set out not really knowing where we would stay for the night. At about 5:30 we came across the Nillibubbica rest stop and decided that enough is enough for one day.

As soon as we pulled into the rest stop the ever perceptive Ella yelled our ‘bucket wash’ her immediate, no shower, no electricity observation.

There is nothing much to note about this place except that there was lots of red dirt, several cows mooing right behind our van and a very dodgy drop toilet with cockroaches scurrying all around it.

Needless to say we made for a quick get away in the morning with more scenic campgrounds to come - we hope!!

Our time on the west coast has come to an end as we begin our journey East across the Gibb River Road to Kununurra and then on the Darwin. We have set up and packed up 20 times and have travelled a total of 7719 km so far. We certainly won’t have any problems meeting our minimum km’s for our car leasing obligations this year!
