In Wanaka's Puzzling World
This was a real fun day!
First of all, no driving :-) I needed a rest from that...

In the morning we went to a museum in Wanaka called Puzzling World. It has a great exhibition of illusions, a maze, and mind cracking games room. We were actually first to arrive to the museum and we had the illusions rooms all to ourselves. I attach pictures from the giant and the dwarf room, illusion used in Lord of the Rings movie. See me and Shiri exchange our heights :-)
One room presented holograms, one room had 168 faces on the walls, and they all seemed to follow you when you walk. The illusion is so real, it was amazing, although after I understood the trick it didn't work anymore :-(
The last room is built slanted, and it totally confuses our balance, therefore we think that the gravity stopped working. A chair seems to go up, water streaming up, etc.
The maze was easy once you follow the rule of always keeping to one side. We finished it in 30 minutes when others get lost for 2 hours, but there was no fun like that...
And then we found ourselves

stuck in the games room, not willing to leave. I never enjoyed playing these kind of games, but vacation does things to people. Maybe I spent too much time without thinking to hard... It made me even buy a book of math quizes! I wonder if I am really going to do them.

We had to leave eventually for our next plan: watching a movie. There's a famous cinema in Wanaka, a must-do. And all teh way to Israel we heard about their cookies, so we had to. We saw a NZ movie called "In my father's Den" - quite a good one in fact, but the cookie was nothing to tell about :-)

We were back in the backpacker by 4PM, just to spend all the afternoon avening and night in the coomon room chatting with other Israeli (mainly) travellers. Was a lot of fun!

Games are FUN!!!
Honey you look great! And you finally understand why I love video games! I don't know which games you played there, but next time we go bowling - you are going to play all the video games with me! Keep having fun :) - Tammy

Explanation on the games
It wasn't like video games - no speed was necessary, just thinking. Like the famous Hanoi towers (I didn't do that but it's the only example I can think of). - Anat
