The latest news is that we have been re-accepted into the Travelblog because we are actually adding photo's from different places all over the world. Just coz they haven't been getting added to the blog, don't mean I haven't been taking photos, so over the coming weeks, prepare to be fully updated. Anyway, to welcome you all back to the wonderful world of the Lynfield Travelblog, we went out and saw a top New Zealand musician perform at the Equipper in Auckland. That performer was Che Fu. - FOOD: Pizza place at Mission Bay with far too much choice of toppings. Ice cream parlour at Mission Bay with far too much choice of flavours. - AREA: Lovely long stretch of deserted beach. Ocean meets lake - what a sight. Te Matua Ngahere - huge Kaori tree. Sky Tower with mad Sky jumpers and good views of Auckland. Smelly Rotorua with sulphur fumes coming up through the drains. - PEOPLE: More Escape van tourists to chat to. Nice local man who towed us as we'd run the battery flat! Sad goodbyes to Stuart and his family. My friend Louise joined us. Wed 3rd: Woke up to discover yet another Escape van had parked up. How weird to see that the only 3 vehicles there were all Escape vans! The beach was so very long ... read more

- FOOD: More bacon sarnies, a good old BBQ with very good BBQ food, NZ wine - mmmm. Firewater, oyster and vodka shot - not so mmmm. Fry ups and Sunday roasts made better by the fact Stuart cooked them. - AREA: Such a nice house to have some luxuries in - our own room, a BATH with fluffy towel, general relaxing amongst family. A party like one of mine. Some local sites. - PEOPLE: My lovely cousin, his lovely wife and their ADORABLE baby. Jo's welcoming parents. Sat 30th July: We got out of Thames as fast as possible as it had no atmosphere and stopped for a bacon sandwich in a lovely big, green field area. Arrived at Stuart's at long last - him and his wife Joanne and their 3 month old son ... read more

Here's a few photos from a recent HBY Football Match. It was a top-of-the-table clasch. We lost 2-nil, hence the surly looks on the faces of some of our players.... read more

Sherie Muys has gone overseas for 6 months. First to the UK to give the Hart boys and Aaron Jacobsen some lovin', then over to Holland to smoke the Reefer. Seriously though, we know she'll be a good girl. Here's a few snaps from her leaving do - the same party where Lorraine Muys and Andrew Jackson were sucking back Tequila shots all night!... read more

- FOOD: Nice early beers, sandwiches in PACKETS (something I've not seen in a long while), nice bread, lack of cheap fry ups. - AREA: Freak out that we lost a day. Is this the UK, with weather to match? - such familiarity. Uni hall style hostels. Expense. Clean, perfect city. Tongarua - our Maori patterned campervan. - PEOPLE: They understand everything I say! Every single person VERY, very friendly - WEATHER: Well it is winter so I wasn't expecting tropical temperatures. Sunday 24th July: VANISHED Monday 25th: We arrived early in New Zealand. 3.30am although the time we were on was mid afternoon so we didn't think it too wrong to go and have a beer or two to help us come to terms with the confusion of a whole day just disappearing by travelling ... read more
