t-1 hour before departure for airport:

Sight - my pack and all that cannot fit within it, the wind that is threatening to uproot all the trees in mum's garden, the book I'm racing to finish before I leave "The Sirens of Baghdad" by Yasmina Khadra

Sound - 15 Step, Radiohead

Taste - Bacon, Avo, harvati & tomato on ciabatta, simply squeezed feijoa smoothie, Fresh & Fruity Strawberry yoghurt & probably a marshmallow egg (maybe pineapple lump) before I go..

Smell - washing powder, from all my recently laundered items that are being squashed into the pack (and the remaining wafts of bacony goodness)

Touch - the comfort that can only be found in my own bed

Sense - excitement, sadness and a whole lot of the unknown
