Our destination today is pronounced ‘Pie - Here” for those un-initiated amongst us. This town is in the middle of the Bay of Islands and this is pronounced “Paradise”. For surely, it must be. For game fishing or even just plain fishing this is the place. Then there is all the other things you can do here: For example, Culture North Sound and Light show about the Treaty of Waitangi (which we did), Excitor 1600 horsepower speed boat ride out to the Hole in the Rock (which we did), A slow amphibious bus, a Duck, ride around the bays (which we did), view dolphins, watch whales, para-glide from behind a speedboat, catch ferries to other islands and towns, hire your own motor boat, charter a sail boat (mono hull or cat), horse ride, catch a bus ... read more

Anekdoten, die das Leben schreibt & neue Wohnung Mann rennt lediglich mit Bademantel bekleidet in ein Büdchen. Gehetzt kehrt er mit einer großen Eiscremeschachtel zurück ins Wohngebäude aus welchem er ursprünglich kam. Was Frauen darüber denken: Sein Mädel hat plötlich Apettit auf Eiscreme bekommen. Was Männer darüber denken: Weiß ich nicht! Habe nur ein Grinsen geerntet. Milkiway mit 40% weniger Fett schmeckt genau wie das Milkiway ohne Fettreduktion. Bei Europäern weiß der Vermieter, dass es zwei Personen sind, die gerne die Zweiraumwohnung beziehen würden. Bei Asiaten versichert der Vermieter sich lieber ob es sich nun um 4, 5 oder 6 Personen handelt, welche eben selbe Wohnung beziehen wollen. Summer in Auckland has been everything that we could have hoped for and more. We have had the opportunity to visit amazing beaches, go snorkeling at a marine reserve, and enjoy some sweet beach parties. However, sometimes things don't always work out as planned....let me explain. We decided to visit another George FM Beach party, since we had so much fun at the last one in Orewa. This time we had our day planned so well. The cooler was packed, the lawn chairs were ready, and we were arriving early to find parking. Our set up at the party was perfect, under a tree for shade, but still close to all the action. Die Einführungsveranstaltungen für internationale Studenten verteilten sich auf drei Tage. Neben offizielle Begrüßungen, fanden Stadtrundfahrten, Quizzes Rätsel, die man in der Gruppe lösen sollte: Fragen wie z.B. Maori (das indigene Neuseelandvölkchen) Begriffe rausfinden, U2song Titel finden, der einen Auckland Vulkan bennent, etc., Rugbyspiele, wobei natürlich, obgleich gut durchgemixt wurde was Nationalitäten anging, das Team mit den meisten Amerikanern gewonnen hat und vieles mehr statt. Bin hier so gut wie immer beschäftigt. Alles ist perfekt organisiert. Die Motivation ist genau so wenn nicht noch größer als in Amiland ohne die lästigen Übertreibungen ; ) (also viel natürlicher), die Natur ist zum dahin schmelzen und überhaupt.... *g* Fotos von den "internationals" kommen erst noch, da ich meine Kamera vergessen hatte - nu wart ich ab bis die offzielleich Fotos auf die... read more
