Edit Blog Post

For those of you who may wonder where we've been for the last week and for friends overseas who may like to see a bit of Australia we're adding this new blog post. Last Tuesday evening we took the midnight horror to Coolangatta, Queensland via Sydney to check and finalise the purchase of our new vehicle. The worst part of this trip was the 4 hours twiddling our thumbs at Sydney airport! Arriving... Read Full Entry

The Straight Road
I found the photos of the trip from Ceduna to Perth brought memories flooding back to me. Nothing very much has changed since Errol and I used to try and make our yearly pilgrimage over to Adelaide to see our families. Except we did see Wombats, emus and Kangaroos back in those days. Where is Border Town ? I don't remember that place. And Norseman used to be where the Quarantine Station was in W.A. Is it not there now? The new car looks very nice and I hope it gives you years of safe travelling. I really enjoyed this entry on your blog.

Memories
The Norseman Quarantine station is nothing but an empty shell. Border town is right on the border and I didn't remember it either. We looked for the Welcome to WA sign that I remember from years ago but it wasn't there! I tried to pick out Aunty Jean's house near Penong but htere were several that looked like I remembered! Thanks for the comments, Mum

H Jude, they are indeed pests - but they are the most delectable fruits you could ever taste! I just adore them whenever I can lay a gloved hand on them! enjoy, cm

Pity I missed the Toad Hunt
Judy, pleased that Rob took you 'toad hunting' - they are the torment of the tropics. When they reach Sydney/Canberra there will be action!!! Maybe we will meet next time you are 'east' or we are 'west'. Jan

Welcome home
At last I read your blog only to find you're back home already. Loved your photos. The new vehicle is pretty spiffy. Steve would love it. We are looking at Toyota personnel carriers with a view to going around Aus in a couple of years. All is well here. Sean has moved out with a couple of mates to a house in Denmark. He is a bit sick of his job in vineyard maintenance but is continuing with it for now. I am still doing 3 days a week at the blueberry farm and one at the meadery. Love to you both, Kerry and Steve.

Toad Hunt
Yeah, the toad hunt was a real highlight. I'm sure we won't wait another 17 years before we meet!

Exploring OZ
As we discovered on our quick dash across Australia there were a lot of places we'd love to go back and explore- especially in NSW! Start planning now for another trip!
