Edit Blog Post

It was suggested to us today to continue our blog. It will give our friends overseas a chance to see a bit of Australia and keep our local friends up to date with our movements. (Thanks Larni) We certainly aren't going to give the detail that we did while we were traveling. For one thing we are far too busy socialising and for another most of it is much too mundane!
However, the week after our return saw us heading down to Margaret River with Pat and Jack who'd come to visit my mother and us all the way from Canada.
The first day we drove to Margaret River and whilst Rags was recovering from the long drive, Pat, Jack and Judy visited just about every shop in the township.
The following day we toured south of the township taking in the Lake Cave, Augusta, Hamelin Bay and the Karridale Pub for lunch. Here we sampled on of their famous Karridale burgers!
The next day we traveled north of MR to Busselton and Meelup. The Busselton Jetty and Underwater Observatory were highlights! Lunch was a pastry from the Dunborough Bakery!
Our last full day in this
area was spent touring a few of the more spectacular wineries such as Leuwin and Voyager. Pat and Jack don't drink wine so this wasn't the main focus, rather the natural beauty! We had lunch at the wonderful Woody Nook Cafe where our son Clinton was in charge of the kitchen today. Needless to say the food was extraordinary!
Friday saw us heading home via Pemberton and the Gloucestershire Tree, Manjimup and Bunbury. Our last meal was fish and chips on the foreshore at Mandurah!
I've put a few photos below but if you want to see more with Mum's humour thrown in go to her blog
