Hello, I'm back! It's been at least a week maybe two now since I wrote something on here. Although you were probably all too busy to come on here anyway! I hope everyone had a great xmas and New Year period. Happy 2008 everyone! I want to start this blog with a place I forgot to mention in the last one: Brisbane! We ended up only spending 2 nights then, when we had intended to spend a few more at least. We barely touched on the city really but I would like to acknowledge one of the best things about Brisbane: JANE! Jane is a friend of Joe's aunt, Ros who kindly found us a place to stay whilst in Brisbane (Also a big thanks to Sam and Kim who let us stay in their flat ... read more

Bonjour bonjour!

Hi Everybody! Sorry it has been SO long since I've updated this thing. I've had a relaxing week here in Melbourne... Last Sunday I went to visit Emily at her house in Chelsea which was really nice. I got to meet her mum, who was really really nice, and we just had a fun chill day, did a bit of shopping, had lunch by the ocean, took a drive to see some beautiful views. That night the girls (Sari, Em, Zoe and I) had a date with Mike, to have some dinner at a bar/restaurant called HooHaa. (heehee.) I was quite nervous for this dinner- I realllly needed it to happen that night, cause little did the girls know, they had a very special surprise coming! We all got there, ordered some bubbly, Mike showed up, ... read more

Hey Everyone, Not too much to report on right now, which in a way is really nice. A luxury I most definitely did not have on Contiki - being able to take it really slow, really getting to know a city, and being lazy if I want. On Friday I did a bunch of laundry for Zoe and I, and did some cleaning a bit around her flat, and decided to unpack my stuff, rather than having my stuff kinda spread all over. Zoe's been so nice about letting me stay here somewhat indefinitely, haha, and encouraging me to feel at home, unpack in her room, etc. I am really lucky. Today she is taking a day off from me haha, to go visit her parents (her hometown is just a little bit away from the ... read more

Hello again! Just another quick update to share how my time here has been going... I would just like to once again state that I LOVE Melbourne!! Sydney was great too, no doubt, but there's something about Melbourne- a little more chill, artsy, whatever, that I just love. I've spent some more time exploring Zoe's neighborhood, and yesterday found a nice cafe to have some lunch and read in before I met up with Mike, and we spent the afternoon exploring the Botanical Gardens. It was a perfect day to spend sitting under a tree, reading, and writing post-cards home (keep an eye on your mail-boxes!) After that we met up with Sari and took the tram (what we at home would call the streetcar) into the CBD (central business district - downtown) we had a ... read more

Hi Everyone! It's been a few days since I've written, so let me try to catch up on everything. Sunday in Sydney was great, another huge action packed day. We took the train into the city, which was really nice. Sydney's public transportation was super clean and cool and comfortable, definitely impressive. We took the train right to Circular Quay, which is a really impressive view straight off, of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Opera House. We were starving, so we went to this really cool night-club that Stephen loves for lunch, called the Argyle. It was very cool, all comfy bed-y banquets, and we had some good lunch, my caesar salad was delish. After that we did the whole walk around Circular Quay, and to the Opera House. It was INSANELY hot out, the ... read more

Kristian a meme ramasse 40$!

What a nice week I have !No job yet, still a bit bored I realised this week it was the first time in 2 years I am off for such a long time so maybe that's why I am bored but anyway I keep looking for a job though I am a bit desesperate now, still thinking about what to do, really love Melbourne and I don't want to leave. On Monday evening, Sharon, Jay and I went to Flagstaff Gardens to eat our sushi. Lovely sunset lovely company and I discovered a new sport called the freeboard which basically a bit like the Snow Board but obviously without snow. Looks cool but the board is a bit expensive around $400.00 so this can wait. It was such a nice evening we decided to go to ... read more

Bonjour bonjour!
