A few of the best - Tyler's a good photographer! I had the camera for the first two spots and Tyler took it on his last dive! Well that's all folks - just a sample with more to share when we get home. We've taken today off to rest and recup. Our next stop tomorrow is Brisbane and the Wild Dolphin Resort and then to the Australia zoo. We thought about heading out for the beach and having Tyler do more surfing but it turns out there are no refunds for cancelling events! So we are staying with the original plan! Love to you all - I think Tyler is ready to be home...misses everyone!... read more

Happy Easter everybody! and to Laura, Katherine, Mike, and PK, happy bday guys, i miss u all very much... and i hope all of you had a fantastic big 2-1 (legal everywhere woooo). This weekend was absolutely fantastic! The owners of the bar that Olivia and my other 2 friends work at had a bunch of us up to their beach house on the coast. It was only about a 2 hour drive, so not too bad. Aaaaand because they own a bar/restaurant we got discounted liquor, and lots of it, and they fed us for free. It was nice to spend easter with a big group and a family... very good vibe. When we first got to the house, we walked into this huge room with mattresses set up everywhere, and everybody had a big ... read more

Hey Everybody! i know i have been way lacking in posting on this bad boy. Nothing huge has been happening though, except for school and bar nights and visits to downtown and everything. Tonight we are celebrating St.Patty's by having a BBQ and 'punch' party through the student union here at the university, so that should be very messy. the bbqs here are definitely not the same, they only involve sausage on a piece of toast with onion on top, odd, but good as drunk food, and its unlimited so whos complaining? Tomorrow there is this event downtown called skyfire. its a concert around the lake, and at the end there are fireworks and all that fun stuff. i'll get people to take lots of pictures since i still haven't brought myself to buy a new ... read more

From Jervis Bay, it was time for a little road trip with the parents. Brett is still of working, so we decided to go check out Canberra which is the capital of Australia. And I know how my dad loves war museums and parliament buildings from our many family holidays back in the day, so I knew what I was in store for. However, he surprised us a little and my mom and I were able to keep him moving and we actually enjoyed it almost as much as he did. Well not quite. But it was good. We made the 3 hour drive from Jervis Bay to Canberra, and the landscape changed from being very green and lush on the coast (from all the rain this past summer), to dryer and flatter. Alot of it ... read more

It was finally time to leave Sydney and to see what the rest of Australia has to offer. The first stop was Canberra which surprised alot of Aussies as to why we were going there considering most Australians haven't been. We went by coach as it was only a 3hr journey from Sydney & got a good deal on the Greyhound although the driver did confirm all our suspicions about bus drivers. We got to see some of the countryside South of Sydney. We arrived into Canberra late on Friday afternoon, we never actually realised to begin with we had arrived. Having gone from Sydney, Canberra seemed a very quiet, small place. We checked in to the hostel & discovered it was the weekend of Summernats, the hostel was full of petrolheads & I started to ... read more

hey guys, sorry i know its been like a week since i have written anything stuffs been a bit crazy and havent really had access to a computer. anyway we left melbourne like a week ago and drove down to a place called phillip island which is about an hour away. its a little island literally below melbourne. we went and saw a load of koalas in the wild and then booked a place on the penguin parade. this basically is where the penguins run up the beach everynight to feed thier young at sunset. so at like half 7 we were sitting in the freezing cold on the beach but then literally thousands of penguins came runnning up the beach, in groups of around 50. it was awesome, quite funnny as well as the penguins ... read more
