MINOCQUA-Wisconsin Oh yeah, Wisconsin. Who woulda thought? So I departed the “garden spot” of Yuba City for a family style lake trip with my godparents Pat and Gloria, their kids (Tracey & Stephanie) their spouses (Julie & Michael) and their grandchildren (Sarah 10, Samson 7, and Charley 15 months). So for those of you like me for whom Wisconsin is not on the top of the “must see” list, I think you would be surprised. As you can imagine, I had to get an atlas to locate it, but it was well worth it. I flew from Sacramento into Chicago and hopped a small 30-seater into Wausau, then had a 90-minute drive into the Lakes area. When I say lakes, I literally mean hundreds all linked and connected. It is stunning. We had a lake house ... read more

Today's big adventure was to find Spring Green, WS, and the House on the Rock. I know there are many who have no clue what we are talking about, but even so, if you are ever within a five hour drive, you gotta see this thing! It is literally a house built on/in a rock formation in rural Wisconsin. So why is this so interesting??? Well, first off, it was constructed by a guy named Alex Jordan, who has no formal training in engineering architecture. He had a dream, and finally convinced the city to let him do it... once he proved of course that it would not fall down! There is a room that is literally constructed of three steel beams and glass (the floor is now plywood for people to walk on). It is ... read more

Wow, it has really been a long time since I updated this. We went to Ontario for the first ten days of June, myself, Kayleigh, Breanna, Lisa (my sister) and her husband Ryan, mom and our friend Betty Seabright. We had a great trip up along the North Shore of Lake Superior using walkie talkies. We had Smokey Bear (lisa's truck had a smokey sticker), Care Bear, and Momma Bear. It was a blast. It makes the long trip a lot easier, especially when you are driving with just the kids in the car with you, you get to talk to the other adults. Ha Ha. We had to work hard to catch our fish, since we were getting there before bass spawning and during Northern spawning. We had little northerns and decent sized small mouth ... read more

As a young Green Bay Packers fan I remember thinking that there was going to be no way that I would ever make it inside of Lambeau Field. I thought that it would be an impossible feat considering the long season ticket waiting list that I kept on hearing about. After the Packers won the Super Bowl, Brock my family and I went to Lambeau to partake in the celebration. This was one of the great moments of my fan career. Little did I know the next year Brock, Jordan and I would make our way inside of the stadium for my very first time. I have now been to --- Packers games and --- of them have been in Lambeau Field. Every time that I go it is still a great time and an awesome ... read more
