We are starting to become excited about our trip. We have had a hectic month with Ryan's wedding, and meeting with Barack Obama. Looking forward to getting away from work. We are worried that on the map it says mountains in some of the areas we are biking. Carl ... read more

We sort of got to sleep in, at least didn’t have to get up so early as for a load in. Went to the venue and got ready for the show. A few last minute touch-ups, then a school show. It went fine. From what it sounded like, we were post-fader (I could here Kyle bring mics in and out) and 5 of the mics we were only getting the effect for. Yikes. It was quite the first half. These small towns along the way carry a lot of history as settlers moved west. I took a picture of a railway bridge which seems awkwardly designed and probably was built at the turn of the 19th century. Probably steam powered too. 10Jul07 Woke up this morning and extended my stay in Appleton because of forecasted severe winds and thundershowers for today. It allowed me to get my haircut and wander around town. Amazing how fast the storms arrive. I returned back to the hotel ... read more
