Here we are in Moab. Here we are in Moab. Here we are in Moab.

Staying at the Apache Inn. Cheapest place in town....

Having spent the night in Grand Junction, we traveled to Moab.

Moab is a central point between a couple of parks we'd planned to visit.
We found accomodation at the Apache Motel.
(Enjoyed our stay there)
Loads of memorabilia relating to John Wayne, he'd stayed there many times.
Also a signed photo of Sharon & Tracey from "Birds of a Feather", apparently they stayed there for 6 weeks.

Decided to pay $80 for a yearly park pass. ( This covered a car and 4 people)
We knew that it would be a good investment as some of the parks charge $25 or more per car.

Even though we did carry lots of water and used loads of sun block as advised.
We found that the temperatures being in the mid 90s, made walking around the parks pretty heavy going.
Having said that, we did manage to do the majority of what we set out to do and had the most amazing time in the parks.

From Moab we headed south along the 191 and were able to view Wilsons Arch (it was free) and The Needles Overlook.

Next stop was Monticello which lies in

It was here that we were able to visit the Frontier Museum.
