"Just Keep Going, Just Keep Going".....that's what Dory would be saying to all of us. Eventually, we shall get to our home in the highly taxed state of New York. Why, Why? Why do we continue to live there and pay all the taxes we do. Why? Guess cause we don't know any differently but that may change in the future. Time will tell. Okay....we are back on the RV bandwagon and ready to keep you abreast of our traveling saga. Where did I leave off? Oh, yes...I know. Yesterday, at 4:00 PM, Cory pulled our trusty rig into the RV Resort at Carolina Crossroads Campground. We have stayed here several times before.....a good campground. It's special to us because Halifax, N.C. is just down the road. Halifax is where Cory & I eloped to and ... read more

A very Happy New Year to each of you. Our exciting New Year's Eve ritual of watching the ball drop on TV didn't pan out....fell asleep before the big moment. In our early years, we really made the most of the moment. I can remember Cory and I going to the Blue Angel Restaurant & Bar in Hornell, NY. When midnight struck, we kissed for 14 minutes straight. Oooooooooo. "14" was his lucky number. Thank God, it wasn't 60! Talk about being lip-locked! This New Year's Day began with trepidation. We had wanted to start for Florida yesterday but our Doppler map showed a big snow mass in the part of Pennsylvania we had to travel through. A similar picture presented itself today. What to do....the weather wasn't going to get better...only worse. We called Cory's ... read more

It has been a great experience for me to be able to make this trip. I can now tick off one more item on my to-do list. There are good and bad encounter but overall it is a very memorable trip. Met a few good people along the way. Able to enjoy and I have a lots of time for myself to think about me, my priority in life. Give me a different perspective and respect for people. In summary, I had quite a very, very scary flight domestically in Ukraine. Took the train crossing the border between Slovenia and Croatia. Showed up at the Tan son nhat airport an hr before a scheduled flight to buy a ticket and got the last seat to Phu Quoc Island and Camau, the most southern town of vietnam, ... read more

I am leaving home in less than 24 hours and I am not ready. I went out to buy a backpack and could not find a reasonable one (fit my taste and my spending) and finally I stopped by a Durham store in Chambersburg and saw the backpack, tried it on, and I'm sold. I also got a flannel sleeping bag at a store nearby. Basically, I have almost everything I need for the trip. I am leaving soon, yet, I'm not ready. It has been stressful in the last few weeks planning my trip. It has been proven that this is not a usual trip due to places I am planning to visit. The tourism industry in these places has not been scattered greatly to independent travellers and packbackers. I dont speak the local languages ... read more

I left my home on a Saturday afternoon at 4:15 PM for a-hundred-miles one-way trip to the BWI airport. The temperature here now is 75 degrees. I park my car at the off-airport long-term parking facility and within minutes, a shuttle pulls in right at the spot where I park and takes me to the airport. I arrive at the BWI airport few minutes before 6 PM and check-in at the Icelandair counter. The check-in procedure is quick and courteous. However, there is no ticket holder envelop provided to keep your boarding pass. Maybe this is a way of cutting cost. I ask for a copy of the itinerary but was refered to another employee who goes through the door behind the counter and print the itinerary and hands over to me moment later. I double ... read more
