Crater Lake National Park is a fascinating place. The whole area is part of the Pacific circle if fire, there are loads of volcanoes around, all inactive at least for the moment. Crater lake lies inside a volcanic basin (caldera) and was created when Mount Mazama collapsed 7 700 years ago following an eruption. We are a couple, Benoit and Robson who decided to tour the world for 1 year. This blog was to keep contact with family and friends. Our trip started in April 2009 and we came back home in April 2010. From London we headed east with Istanbul as our first stop. Six months later, in October 2009 we ended up in Brazil where we stayed till April 2010.
