This pretty much sums it up! Up slowly but surely! Time to find some breakfast.
We had vouchers for breakfast at Excalibur Roundtable Buffet. Very nice buffet and didn’t mind getting our own drinks. Uncle Buddy really like their made to order omelet station. We gambled a bit there. Uncle Buddy won again.
Big Bus Day Tour - bought discounted tickets online. The tour is split in two parts The Strip and Downtown. Open top buses with a hop on / off option.
We caught the bus at the Excalibur stop. Rode on the top catching the second half of the strip tour. The switching point for the routes is Circus Circus. We decided we needed to cool down a bit so we gambled here a bit - won some $$$. Then we did the downtown route - not as exciting at least during the day. Then hopped back on the strip tour. We got off at the Miracle Mile Shoppes stop and decided to walk back to Excalibur a bit far in the heat but we survived.
We got by the Mandarin Oriental and came to the conclusion we hadn’t eaten since breakfast and it was nearly 5pm. We we were right there so Bobby’s Burger Place it was - Hubby says he would have had two burgers if he wasn’t so overheated. I also had a boozy milkshake - yummy!. Walked through NYNY casino then back to the Excalibur where we parked.
Back to the hotel for a bit of a rest and clean up.
Well I guess Hubby and I just passed clean out! Uncle Buddy called at 8pm to see what happened to us!!! We got dressed for the evening - a night downtown.
We parked at Binions then walked Fremont St taking in the sights and sounds and all the excitement. Casino hopped down to The D - drinking and gambling as we went. We went to the second floor as I heard they had old coin machines there. They did and we happily spent an hour or maybe more feeding quarters then "making it rain"! Uncle Buddy was ready to move on so back downstairs we went. He had the drunken idea to play roulette - something none of us knew anything about. So he just had me put $20 on my birth date - 21. Well lo and behold that little ball landed on 21. Paid 35 to 1. Yeah Baby!
Not that Uncle Buddy or I needed but we head to the outdoor bar. He orders these giant drinks and has the bartender add several top shelf shots so now we have two $80 drinks. While she was fixing these up I stumbled over to a shop I wanted to hit and did a bit of souvenir shopping. A band was playing - time to dance! Uncle Buddy grabbed a random woman and started jitterbugging with his drink safely in one hand. All on video. We then strolled back down towards Binions. My husband spotted some awesome spray paint artists. He had two paintings made for him and his dad. Played a bit more on the way through Binions to the parking garage.
So Uncle Buddy and I were pretty wasted to be honest - I was sure my sober husband was done with us. We asked him if we could drive back to the hotel down the strip - he thought that would be fun and took us all the way down blasting some classic hair band music! Ended at the sign about 2am - great time as only two other groups there - no waiting for our turn at pictures. Uncle Buddy had a bit of a drunken accident when he tried to climb the sign.
Back to the hotel - Uncle Buddy headed off to his room?
Hubby and I spotted Fuddruckers open!!! Even better a full menu available and prices same as home! We got it to go and went to our room!
