Dave did a wonderful job of describing the highlights.
Helicopter flights had been cancelled for a few days due to bad weather but when we woke up on Sunday it was clear blue skies so our driver picked us up to head for the airport helipad. After a safety video all seven passengers got into the helicopter, 6 behind the pilot and 1 up front. It was a tight squeeze but we all buckled up and donned headsets, Sue of course had to sit facing the direction of travel. She went one better on the return leg as the seat next to the pilot was vacant.

The views were magnificent as we flew east over the Nevada desert towards the Hoover Dam, Lake Mead and the Colorado River. It got better still as we approached the Grand Canyon and pilot Dave kept us informed of the vista below before descending into the canyon itself.

We landed on the ridge for a refuelling stop at a ranch and we had a 10 minute break to stretch our legs and take photos. The return trip gave us a wonderful view of Las Vegas as the pilot took us close to the major hotels on the strip.
