Here I go again. Varoom Varoom. the car show was a fantastic week end. Wonderfull cars in all colours. Old and shiney paint jobs. I went with 3 retired longshoremen, my brother Geroge and brother Fred and thier frined Hot Hansan. Hot Hansan kept telling everyone about his Viagra all the time. so with a little imaginenation you can see where this went!!! All very fun and funny. laughed all the time. We stayed on the funny farm. Hot Hansan stayed in the little house. That way things kepted fairly cool! he had his little dog Misty Manard with him. A great watch dog..They drove up from Nebraska and his car blew up near Mosses lake. Cut the grass weeds and trimed bushes. Actually I hardly did any work this time. 11th June, 2009 Coeur d' Alene, Idaho. Beautiful day here today, woke up to not a cloud in the sky, so on with the shorts and into town, a walk around Tubbs Hill, which is similar to the walk around the Mount, but poorly sign posted so we decided to make our own track (and we had to turn around and go the long way), never mind, good for the fitness. then down to the Coeur d' Alene Hotel and around the longest floating boardwalk in the world (so they claim), plenty of non depression dollars lined up in the Marina. We checked out the jet Skis for hire - they want $82 and hour or $595 for 8 hours (that's $993 NZ, you could put down a deposit on a new one for that), so ... read more

10th June, 2009. Travel to Coeur d' Alene Well up and away this morning, travelled over the Bitterroot Range, a beautiful area of rivers and valleys, and then coming down to Lake Coeur d' Alene. After a bit of hassle finding the RV camp we booked in, the owners were most helpful, so we had a quick lunch and took off to the "Bucks" knife factory for a tour, bowled in there 2 mins late only to be told we were an hour early - time change at the Idaho boarder, never mind, time to do some shopping. Bucks Knife factory was founded in 1902, pretty impressive and they have some cool knives. Then on to a sporting shop, "Cabela's", if you have never been to a Cabela's, next time you see one, GO, they are ... read more

A golfer's dream is to enter a golf course that has been, or still is, a location for the PGA tour. I have played Torrey Pines in San Diego with my dad after placing our golf bags on the deck at 4:00 am, sleeping in the car for an hour and a half in the parking lot, just to hear our names called to the tee for a 6:15 tee time. Three summers ago I visited the home of golf, St. Andrews, to see Tiger Woods beat out Scotland's own Collin Montgomery, and the Golden Bear, Jack Nickalaus, retired waving one more time from the Swilken bridge. I also walked into the club house of both Carnoustie and Hoylake at Royal Liverpool. Last summer, I made it up to Banff National Park in Canada to play ... read more

July 28th - Today we left Kimberley and our relatives and continued south to continue our Road Trip. First off we took Val and Mike to the Airport for their flight back to the UK. Then across the border back into the US and south on #95 in Idaho. Scenery of rolling corn fields (wheat I think), passed an Elk Farm. Night stop Moscow, Idaho. Pam and George... read more

We compliment cruising with extensive driving trips; this one being 45 days to the Pacific Northwest and Northern California. On our way to our first time share near Coeur d’Alene, Idaho we visited friends and family and saw some of the most awe inspiring mountains including Mt. Shasta, Mt. St. Helens, Mt. Hood and our favorite Mt. Rainier. We also attended a Shakespeare play at the outdoor Elizabethan theater in Ashland, Oregon; took a day trip to the exquisitely blue Crater Lake and generally enjoyed the scenic route and perfect autumn weather. Wide open spaces are alive and well in northern Idaho! The town of Sandpoint was an hour’s drive north of our condo and Coeur d’Alene was about the same distance south. Both were perfectly located on large lakes with lots of charm. They both ... read more
