I woke up the next day ready to rock the show. I called my buddy Elyzza to see what they're all up to and she tells me they're staying at a hotel on some street with a bunch of vowels in it. I walked out of my hostel and read the first street which was Paoakalani Ave, sounded about right so I walked down it and there was their hotel. Nice I was only a block away. While walking, and this happened on several occasions walking around Hawai'i, I run into people from my class. 'Twas very surreal running into people you know in a different island miles away from your native lands. Anyways everyone was out on their own agenda so Elyzza and I decided to plot an adventure of our own. Later on several people contacted us and declared that they join us on this journey of epic proportions. It took 3 busses to get to our destination with the 3rd bus flirting with a near 2 hour wait because it was the only bus in that area and not many tourists go there as it seems. Similar to the show Amazing Race it was 4 separate groups leaving
from different areas at different times only to end up all together in somewhere in the middle of the journey. Now I heard about this place from locals so the last bus had no one in it but us and every time our group axed me questions I honestly had not a clue where we were going or what we were in for. At the final stop, which wasn't even a stop but a barren road, the bus driver told us to walk to the end of the windy road and make a left into the forest at the end. Instead of words such as have fun and enjoy, all he said to us was be careful and good luck. At this point after a 3 hour bus trip the group was agitated and unwilling. The lengthy journey took its toll on our moral and one guy from our group even called it quits and went back for the 3 bus trip back home. It didn't end there, at the end of the road we were greeted with an arduous 1.5 mile pilgrimage into the depths of the unknown. The hike was so crazy that thy words wouldn't suffice to

This is about how high we had to jump. describe it's awesomeness. Let's just say it involved the traversal of rivers, swinging of vines, and scaling of mountains. Near the end we were weary, battle scarred from the blisters, and eaten alive from the buffet we provided for the mosquitos. With their last ounce of strenf, all my friends could say to me was.. this better be worth it Dennis. The end of the path led to one of the most amazing sights I've ever seen, a majestic waterfall, pristine and untouched by the hands of man. Immediately I took off my shirt, swam across the water, climbed the rocks, and on 3, without even testing if it was deep enough or if there are rocks under water, I jumped. Unbelievable. That wasn't the best part, feeling extra adventurous we climbed to the top of the water fall, followed a path only to find another water fall with a lagoon so extra blue and even more beautiful than the first one. I found paradise. The journey was tough both ways as there is only one way in and one way out. But in the end it was unanimous. Worth it it was. Update: Missing Hawai'i I was watching the
Jason Mraz - I'm Yours video and to my delightful surprise the waterfall is in the video. I think I'm in the video jumping off. Anyways Jason Mraz is G if he made it through that journey and back. Enjoy.
