Cory & The Croods
In the words of Dolly Parton: "The way I see it, if you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain". Sounds sensible ....aren't we always looking for that special, wonderful rainbow? Today it rained and rained and rained. When it rains in Florida, you know it is raining....the skies open and it really pours down in torrents. Somewhat like being at the bottom of Niagara Falls. Driving is almost impossible....it is scary and dangerous. Today, our rainbow came before the rainstorm. While puttering around the RV and doing the mundane chores.....the colorful couple (just like a rainbow) known as Sam & Sandy came by and wanted to know if we wanted to go to the movies with them. No hesitation here...even though I had not done my hair and looked like the Bag Lady on the corner of 192 and Vineland. It's dark in the movies so who would see me? What better place to spend a rainy day! We saw the movie: The Call which I had really wanted to see. Very good but nerve racking and tense (that's how it is meant to be). When we exited the theater, we could tell it had rained hard:

What a place! What great friends!
big puddles and debris around. No matter....The sky had cleared for us so our venture continued. Oh Happy Day, Sam took us to the end of another rainbow: the Earl of Sandwich restaurant where I thoroughly enjoyed my favorite tuna melt. Best ever when it comes to tuna melts but I think I have told you that already. Hmmmmm---it is soooo good! Jimmy Buffet sings "It's 5:00 Somewhere" (which it was) so we knew it was still time to travel on to our next destination. We thought about heading to the Disney Boardwalk but the skies darkened again and we knew we had seen the last of our rainbows for the day. Once back to the RV, we could really tell the rainstorm had been a doozy. Our outdoor paraphernalia was still all intact but our little tent canopy was drooping way down with 500 gallons of water in it. When Cory released it, it looked like another Niagara Falls. Walt & Diane had weathered out the storm and said it was a blinger: torrential rain, high winds, blowing debris, raging water rushing down the roadway. We were oblivious to it all while sitting at the end of our movie

"Somewhere over the rainbow, skies are blue, And the dreams that you dare to dream, Really do come true". We have had many wonderful dreams come true over these past few months. Toto, we must be "Somewhere Over the Rainbow"....
