March 2, Monday

We packed up camp, left a gallon of water for the neighbor who'd driven his van here with his new K1200R in the back, and went to find a motel for the night. We stayed just north of Daytona, for $90, and it was worth every penny. Wayne asked me to get him a room also, and we met up at the hotel early that evening. We walked to Pizza Hut for supper, and had a good time catching up with Wayne and Peggy.

March 3, Tuesday

We all packed up together, and headed down US 1 through Daytona Beach. More traffic today, but still nothing like what it has been reported. We rode together down to Titusville, and Wayne turned off to go see Cape Canaveral, while Deb and I headed for our hotel. We'd made reservation at the Sheraton Safari, just outside of Disney World, when we originally bought the tickets. We had two more days of Disney to go. Wayne came along shortly thereafter and got a room also.
